Development Manager

The Role

The purpose of this role is to work closely with our Head of Professional Development to assist in the design and the delivery of our national training and development programmes.

This role will involve coaching, developing and training established advisers who have a proven track record and help them achieve their highest potential. You will also be instrumental in delivering our company induction and your engaging training style will ensure our new adviser achieve CAS status.

You will collate and analyse management information from senior managers as well as attending team meetings to ensure you are fully briefed on the objectives and training requirements of individuals and teams across the UK. You will attend client meetings and create role play opportunities for our advisers to enhance best practice and ensure we are offering the highest quality of service to our clients.

As our advisers are field based and we have a variety of office locations across the UK there will be a requirement to travel nationally based on the training and development needs of our teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working closely with the Head of Professional Development to develop a national training programme with associated training materials
  • Collating and analysing data shared by senior management to address training requirements across the business
  • Conducting regular adviser observations and identifying coaching suggestions which will further develop adviser performance, compliance and client experience
  • Creating and delivering a positive company induction programme
  • Coordinating and delivering knowledge and skills training for paraplanners and advisers to ensure they achieve competent status
  • Creating and maintaining robust development plans and training records
  • Producing high calibre training materials which are published on our intranet for colleague reference

Experience and Skills

  • Proven track record of working in a training capacity within financial services
  • Diploma Level 4 qualified
  • Strong knowledge of the FCA Principles for Businesses and Conduct of Business Rules
