SENIOR PARAPLANNER

Researching, analysing market trends and report writing, Chase de Vere paraplanners work closely with our financial advisers and client support teams to deliver advice and provide ongoing services to new and existing clients.

Our paraplanning teams have exceptional technical and industry knowledge with many having secured their Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and some continuing their studies towards Chartered. Whilst these qualifications are important, the role of a paraplanner requires so much more – the ability to work independently, a keen eye for detail and a real passion to provide the best independent financial research and advice for our clients.

As a Senior Paraplanner, you will work closely with our Regional Paraplanning Managers to ensure your team feel supported on a daily basis alongside recognising developmental opportunities. You will oversee incoming business and delegate where necessary to ensure all individuals in the team have a manageable and diverse workload.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Technical knowledge is essential in this role, so it is a requirement that you have secured your Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
  • Experience in a senior paraplanning role with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
  • Teamwork and collaboration are vitally important within this role. If a member of your team is in the midst of a complex report and an urgent piece of work comes in, our paraplanners go above and beyond to help one another out.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail.

WHAT YOUR ROLE WILL INVOLVE

Our senior paraplanners add huge value to our parplanning teams and regional paraplanners. They are a point of contact for the team on a daily basis and communicate regularly with the regional paraplanner ensuring they are kept up to date on a local level. Alongside the senior responsibilities, our senior paraplanners will also prepare recommendations,  review our clients’ finances on an annual basis, asses their exposure to risk and update their financial strategy to reflect their changing circumstances.

Your day-to-day role

  • Collaborating with the Paraplanning Team and Regional Paraplanning Manager.
  • Recognising areas of development within the team and sharing best practice.
  • Supporting with recruitment activity ensuring a robust interview process.
  • Conducting research on clients’ financial planning arrangements, both existing and recommended, to ensure that the client’s needs and objectives are met.
  • Undertaking investment portfolio analysis, including asset allocation analysis in line with the clients stated attitude to risk.
  • Compiling investment, pension and protection illustrations, projections and associated documentation.
  • Writing technical and accurate suitability reports and client service agreement letters.
  • Ensuring client files comply with both FCA regulations and our internal policy and procedures.
